The Fixations Network was created by Kath in May 2003. After I had toyed with the idea for several months, I finally knew how to make it work.
This site is not meant to copy other networks, stab other networks in the back or be a better version of other networks. It is meant to be a different network. Fixations have different goals, different contents and different guidelines. All the bashing in the world won't stop it from existing.
The layout (version 4) features the cast of ABC's "Lost" and was created in Adobe Photoshop CS. The layout was coded in Notepad.
The domain name, GetYourFix.org, was inspired by the 'slogan' I have used for this network over at the forum all this time. It basically means what it means. "Get over to this website to get your fix(ations)," as in apply for your own or find Fixations to visit in order to get your fandom-fix. Voilą.
Thanks to those of you who are still part of this network and holding it together after it nearly fell apart. Twice.
