Adoption
Visitors can take little graphics (that represent certain characters or whatever else like recurring items on a television show) from your site and put it on theirs.
Blend challenge
A blend challenge is as interactive as it can be. Fans compete with one another to create the best blend out of images you have given them or images they have found by themselves. They can win awards for what they have done or a plug on the site.
Blog
You can have your own individual blog or a group blog dedicated to journaling about your subject. If you're really into the subject, it could be a nice idea.
Clique
Have fans of your subject join a clique. How you want to do this is your own decision. It can be easily combined with comments (see below).
Comments
In the tradition of guestbooks, it might be nice to have fans comment on the subject instead of the website. So fans get to comment on fave celebrities, tv shows, movies... etcetera.
Downloads
Let visitors download skins, desktop themes, music files (be careful about this kind of stuff though!)... Whatever you have to offer and what your bandwidth allows.
Encounters
Some people are lucky enough to have met people or visit sets. Allow them to tell your visitors their stories.
Fanart
This basically speaks for itself. Make fanart any way you want to and let visitors send in theirs. Credit them!
Fanfiction
Write stories about characters, television, movies... and let visitors write their own stories. Credit them! I recommend that you add ratings.
Forum
A forum is a nice way to bring fans closer together. It is very interactive and easy to maintain. You can use one forum on your domain for more of your Fixations.
LJ icons and avatars
Icons: small art. You can go anywhere with these things. Make your own, have visitors send in theirs. Credit them! Also consider AIM icons and forum avatars.
LJ icons challenge
Instead of a larger blend challenge, you may opt for an icon challenge.
Music Videos
Music videos (where you make your own clip to a song), funny videos (using cardboard of whatever)... you can make them and have them on your site. Beware of bandwidth!
Photography
A new dimension to the Fixations Network: photography. Especially suitable for the places category as well as the musicians category (concert images, for example).
Poetry
Some people like to write some texts that rhyme
and type it up whenever they have time
A publisher is very hard to find
Maybe you can post them to be kind?
Reviews
Write reviews (good or bad) about movies, performances of celebrities, books, albums... and encourage your visitors to do the same. They are more detailed and longer than comments.
Roleplaying
Act out scenes of an episode, make up your own episodes with some groupmembers, create your own sequels to movies... Roleplaying is interactive and requires a lot of imagination.
Support Codes
No clique? Offer your fans compensations by putting up support codes which they can use to link to your site and show their support. No longer required.
Wallpapers
This also speaks for itself. Have your own up there and allow visitors to make donations. Credit them!
