The 47 books project is sort of a dare I set for myself: to read and review 47 books in 12 months' time (august 3rd 2005 - august 3rd 2006). I decided it would be both fun and a way for me to keep my mind off the stuff in my world and escape to the worlds created by 47 authors.

Why the number 47, instead of more common numbers such as 48 (4 books a month) or 50? Because I wanted to make this a mission. Since Alias (where agents go on missions all the time) is one of my alltime favorite shows, I decided to do this project Alias style, by emphasizing the number 47.

Hence, Project 47 Books was born.
